Design Decision
- Created an initial design and shared it with group members (Figure 2).
- Discussed the advantages and disadvantages of each member’s design.
- I proposed belt design inspired by one group member’s idea.
- Identified advantages of the belt-shaped skin barrier, such as leakage prevention using elastic bands.
- Additional design features were later added to belt.

After discussion, we create an initial draft design (Figure 3).

We use button, elastic bands, and sponge as primarily materials and sewing them together orderly.

Prototype Processes

At beginning, we tried to use sewing machine to sew all the parts together. However, the sewing machine was not working well. We tried to fix it, but it still did not working well (Figure 4). We wasted a lot of time trying to repair the machine.
As a result, we decided to sew the parts together by hand. We found hand sewing worked much better than using the machine (Figure 5).
